Information
The alloy wheel is a highly stressed vehicle component which may be subjected to extreme loads during operation. The repair restrictions must be strictly observed in order to ensure safe operation and prevent any potential hazards.

This repair method is a cost-effective repair that may have quality implications. To achieve the best repair result, always use the tool recommended by Porsche and attend the special training courses put on by the tool/system suppliers.
The repair method combines paint repair methods and conventional painting methods.
When reconditioning alloy wheels, it is only permitted to repair damage to the paintwork. For example: => Permissible damage , => Permissible damage
It is still imperative to avoid sanding down areas through to the base material.

Repair restrictions
- The base material of the alloy wheel must not be damaged. For example: => NON-permissible damage , => NON-permissible damage
- Repairs that affect the base material of the wheel (deposit-welding, filling and metal-cutting machining => Prohibited machining operations ) are never permitted.
- There must be no signs of corrosion on the alloy wheel.
- It is imperative to avoid sanding down areas through to the base material.
