Preliminary work

1. Remove glove box. -> 681519 Removing and installing glove box - section on "Removing" 681519 Removing and installing glove box
2. Remove knee airbag on passenger's side. -> 697919 Removing and installing knee airbag on passenger's side - section on "Removing" 697919 Removing and installing passenger's knee airbag

Removing glove box lid





Installation position of glove box

1. Pull loop for rebound damping mechanism (glove box lid damper) out of the bracket -arrow A- and disengage it -arrow B-.

2. Drive hinge bolts at the left and right outwards -arrow-.

3. Remove glove box light switch -1-.
3.1. Release cotter pin -arrow A-.
3.2. Unscrew fastening screw -2- ( -arrow B- ) and remove switch.

4. Remove glove box lid.

Installing glove box lid

1. Position glove box lid and drive in hinge bolts at the left and right from the outside in -arrow-.

2. Install glove box light switch.
2.1. Place switch -1- in installation position.
2.2. Screw in fastening screw -2- ( -arrow B- ).
2.3. Slide on cotter pin -arrow A- until it engages securely.

3. Pull loop for rebound damping mechanism (glove box lid damper) over the bracket -arrow B- and engage it in the bracket -arrow A-.

1. Install knee airbag on passenger's side. -> 697919 Removing and installing knee airbag on passenger's side - section on "Installing" 697919 Removing and installing passenger's knee airbag
2. Install glove box. -> 681519 Removing and installing glove box - section on "Installing" 681519 Removing and installing glove box
