Rear Spoiler (2-way/4-way)
The rear spoiler improves driving stability at high speeds and reduces fuel consumption at low speeds.
Vehicles with a turbo engine have an extended rear spoiler whose aerodynamically effective surface is increased by means of additional wings (flaps).
Spoiler Settings - Automatic Mode
The spoiler setting depends on a number of conditions. The rear spoiler extends automatically:
- to position A at 56 mph (90 km/h)
- to position B at 127 mph (205 km/h)
The rear spoiler retracts automatically:
- from position B to position A at 112 mph (180 km/h)
- from position A to the end position at 37 mph (60 km/h)
In vehicles without turbo engine, the rear spoiler also moves to an intermediate position when extending between 99 mph and 127 mph (160 km/h and 205 km/h) or when retracting between 112 mph and 90 mph (180 km/h and 145 km/h). This intermediate position is located between A and B.
Spoiler Settings - "Sports Plus" Mode
The rear spoiler extends directly to position B at approx. 56 mph (90 km/h). The rear spoiler retracts from position B directly to the end position at 37 mph (60 km/h).
In the event of malfunctions lights up in the instrument cluster.

Spoiler Settings - Manual Mode
When the ignition is switched on, the rear spoiler can be extended and retracted manually using the button in the center console. If the rear spoiler is in manual mode, the indicator on the button lights up.
Extending spoiler manually:
Press button briefly, the rear spoiler extends to position A. The indicator light in the button comes on, the rear spoiler is in manual mode.
Retracting the spoiler manually:
When the vehicle is stationary, keep the button pressed down until the rear spoiler has reached its end position. The indicator light in the button goes off, the rear spoiler is in automatic mode. At speeds up to approx. 56 mph (90 km/h), press the button, the rear spoiler retracts. The indicator light in the button goes off, the rear spoiler is in automatic mode. At speeds above approx. 56 mph (90 km/h), press the button, the rear spoiler remains extended, the indicator light in the button goes off. The rear spoiler is in automatic mode.
Deactivated "Sport Plus" mode:
- The rear spoiler extends automatically from position A to position B at approx. 127 mph (205 km/h)
- The rear spoiler retracts automatically from position B to position A at approx. 112 mph (180 km/h).
Activated "Sport Plus" mode:
The rear spoiler extends automatically from position A to position B at approx. 56 mph (90 km/h). The rear spoiler retracts automatically from position B to position A at approx. 37 mph (60 km/h).
