Preliminary work

1. Remove the front-axle carrier.

WARNING
Danger of objects or loads falling down
* Risk of squashing or crushing


-> Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

1. Press against the engine mounting from below and loosen the fastening nuts on the engine mounting.





Loosen the engine mounting (figure shows 4WD Turbo).

2. Remove the engine mounting and nuts from the guide.

Removing left engine mounting

1. Press against the engine mounting from below and loosen the fastening nuts on the engine mounting.

2. Remove the engine mounting and nuts from the guide.

Information
The tightening specifications for the basic engine are stored centrally. Tightening torques and assembly instructions for other affected assemblies (e.g. chassis, electrics, transmission or body) or for peripheral engine equipment can be found in the corresponding documents.

1. Guide engine mounting into the receptacle provided for it.
2. Guide the engine mounting guide pin into the groove provided for it so that it can no longer pop out.

3. Press against the engine mounting from below and tighten the fastening nuts on the engine mounting.

Subsequent work

1. Install the front-axle carrier.
