Preliminary work

1. Remove front part of front wheel housing liner. -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Removing" Removal and Replacement
2. Remove main headlight. -> 941519 Removing and installing main headlight - section on "Removing" 941519 Removing and installing main headlights

Removing headlight mounting

Information

All work steps are described for the right side of the vehicle. Some of these must be performed on the left side as a mirror image of the right side.

1. Loosen the three fastening nuts -1- used to secure the headlight mounting from underneath.

2. Loosen the three knurled nuts -2- on the adjusting elements.
3. Pull the mounting forward out of the body.

Installing headlight mounting

Information

All work steps are described for the right side of the vehicle. Some of these must be performed on the left side as a mirror image of the right side.

1. Slide the mounting into the body and secure with the three knurled nuts -2-.
2. Install main headlight. -> 941519 Removing and installing main headlight - section on "Installing" 941519 Removing and installing main headlights
3. Check that the gap between the main headlight and the edge of the body is uniform and adjust it using the knurled nuts if necessary.

Tightening fastening nuts

4. Secure the headlight mounting with the three fastening nuts -1-. => Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. Install front part of front wheel housing liner. -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Installing" Removal and Replacement
