Checking ATF

Information

Aligning vehicle for checking oil:

- Align the vehicle horizontally on a measuring platform

- Secure the vehicle to prevent it from rolling away

1. Raise the vehicle on a measuring platform in order to check the oil/make adjustments.
2. On vehicles with air suspension/levelling system, set the vehicle to "Normal Level" and switch off the levelling system. -> 4X00IN Lifting the vehicle Service and Repair
3. Start the engine.
- Press the brake pedal
- Shift the gear lever slowly through P-R-N-D three times

4. Read out the ATF temperature using PIWIS Tester II 9818 until the temperature is => Temperature: 40°C+5°C.
Menu structure:
4.1. Select PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) control unit
4.2. Submenu: Actual values/Input signals
4.3. Submenu: CAN output signals for transmission sump temperature
5. Move selector lever to position P.
6. Switch off engine and wait for about 2 minutes.

WARNING

Hot fluid

- Danger of scalding

-> Let the fluid cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.

7. Open the oil inspection plug.

8. The oil level is correct if the oil reaches the lower edge of the inspection window. If this is not the case, fill with oil. -> 370235 Checking and topping up ATF - section on "Topping up"
9. Screw in a new oil inspection plug. => Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ftlb.)

Information

Use only oil approved by Porsche.

7. Open the oil inspection plug -arrow- and fill in oil using manual metering pump WE 1372 until oil overflows.

8. Screw in a new oil inspection plug. => Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ftlb.)
