Preliminary work for ATF

1. Remove underbody cover. -> 519219 Removing and installing cover for front underbody - section on "Removing" 519219 Removing and installing Cover For Front Underbody

Changing ATF

WARNING

Hot fluid

- Danger of scalding

-> Let the fluid cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.

Information

Aligning vehicle for checking oil:

- Align the vehicle horizontally on a measuring platform

- Secure the vehicle to prevent it from rolling away

1. Raise the vehicle on a measuring platform in order to check the oil/make adjustments.
2. On vehicles with air suspension/levelling system, set the vehicle to "Normal Level" and switch off the levelling system. -> 4X00IN Lifting the vehicle Service and Repair
3. Place a drip pan underneath.
4. Open the oil drain plug and drain oil.

5. Screw in new oil drain plug. => Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)+3 Nm (+2 ftlb.)

Information

Use only oil approved by Porsche.

6. Open the oil inspection plug -arrow- and fill in oil using manual metering pump WE 1372 until oil overflows.

7. Screw in oil inspection plug.

8. Start the engine.
- Press the brake pedal
- Shift the gear lever slowly through P-R-N-D three times

9. Read out the ATF temperature using PIWIS Tester II 9818 until the temperature is => Temperature: 40°C+5°C.
Menu structure:
9.1. Select PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) control unit
9.2. Submenu: Actual values/Input signals
9.3. Submenu: CAN output signals for transmission sump temperature
10. Move selector lever to position P.
11. Switch off engine and wait for about 2 minutes.
12. Open the oil inspection plug -arrow-.

13. Fill in oil using manual metering pump WE 1372 until oil overflows.
14. Screw in a new oil inspection plug -arrow-. => Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ftlb.)

Subsequent work for ATF

1. Install underbody cover. -> 519219 Removing and installing cover for front underbody - section on "Installing" 519219 Removing and installing Cover For Front Underbody
