Overview

Removing front corner window pane

1. Detach rubber seal for roof moulding at the front.

2. Unscrew fastening screw -1- on the roof moulding.
3. Unscrew fastening screws -2- and -3- for the corner window pane.

4. Remove corner window pane.

4.1. Lift up the corner window pane -5-.
4.2. Pull rubber seal out of the window guide -4- for the corner window pane. (Rubber seal remains on the door sub-frame)

Installing front corner window pane

1. Pull rubber seal for the window guide -4- into the guide for the corner window pane.

2. Place corner window pane -5- in installation position.
3. Loosely screw in fastening screws -2- and -3- on the corner window pane so that the corner window pane can still be moved.

4. Adjust the corner window pane.

4.1. Fit and close the door window.
4.2. Position door window parallel to the B-pillar trim -A-.
4.3. Position corner window pane parallel to the door window -B-.
4.4. Make sure that the B-pillar trim is parallel to the corner window pane.
4.5. Check that the door window can move freely -C-.
5. Fastening screws
-2- => Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm (2 ftlb.)+10° and -3- => Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm (2 ftlb.)+10° - screw in on corner window pane.

6. Screw in fastening screw -1- on the roof moulding.

7. Fit rubber seal for roof moulding at the front.

Information

- Immediately before sticking on, wash off the areas on which you intend to stick the seal using isopropanol to ensure that all traces of silicone, grease and oil are completely removed.

7.1. Clean bonding surfaces.
7.2. Stick adhesive tape (Part No. 000 043 206 59) over the detached double-sided adhesive tape -6-.
7.3. Pull protective paper off the double-sided adhesive tape.
7.4. Press lip of rubber seal into the roof moulding.

Subsequent work

1. Install additional window frame seal. -> 576655 Replacing additional window frame seal - section on "Installing" 576655 Replacing Additional Window Frame Seal
2. Install door window glass. -> 644019 Removing and installing front door window - section on "Installing" 644019 Removing and installing front door window
3. Install front door sub-frame. -> 573019 Removing and installing front door sub-frame - section on "Installing" 573019 Removing and Installing Front Door Sub-Frame
