Doors and Lids







Reduced weight thanks to intelligent mix of materials:
- Laser-cut door frames in die-cast aluminum
- Reinforcements from aluminium extruded sections
- Aluminum door inner panel
- Magnesium window frame

The four doors and rear lid are made from aluminum and the window frames are made from magnesium, ensuring a low gross weight. As a result, the body of the Panamera has a very low center of gravity, which benefits roadholding and driving performance.

The lightweight doors are characterized by a bearing structure made from laser-treated die-cast aluminum, an aluminum outer skin and a door window frame made from thin-walled die-cast magnesium.







NOTES:
- Damaged magnesium components must always be replaced completely as they cannot be repaired.
- There are several screws that hold the window frame to the door, two are aluminum, and these screws are one time use only.
