All Panamera models have a fully panelled underbody to optimize the air flow under the vehicle and to reduce turbulence. This improves the cd value and reduces fuel consumption. A fully panelled underbody also enables the air that is flowing past to be directed to specific areas where cooling air is required. Gills located in the area around the rear-axle differential capture the cooling air to cool the rear-axle differential in a targeted manner.
