Removing And Installing Front Seat

Preliminary work
Remove seat belt mount.

Removing front seat







1. Move backrest all the way forward. Move front seat all the way up and all the way forward.







2. Release the covers and remove them from the rear seat rail.







3. Unscrew fastening screws -1- on the rear seat rail.
4. Move the front seat back fully and lower the rear seat surface.
5. Remove ignition key. Disconnect battery ground strap.







6. Release the front covers and remove them from the front seat rail.







7. Unscrew fastening screws -2- on the front seat rail.
8. Tilt the front seat back.







9. Open the cut-out in the carpet and turn it to one side.

11. Carefully remove the front seat.

Installing front seat

NOTICE:
Incorrect line routing
- Risk of damage to lines and hoses
- Malfunction and fault memory entry on control unit

- Avoid small bending radii when routing lines.
- File down edges and burrs in the routing area or mask them with adhesive tape.
- Maintain a sufficient distance from components exposed to high temperatures while driving.

INFORMATION: Always replace the fastening screws on the front seat after customer service and reworking. The micro-self locking or self-tapping screws must not be treated, greased or loosened and then screwed on again.

1. Place front seat in car and tilt backwards.







2. Plug in and lock electric plug connection.







3. Route the line under the carpet and close the cut-out in the carpet so that it looks perfect.







4. Fold the seat forward and insert the centering pins -3- into the cutouts -4- on the body.
5. Connect the battery ground strap







6. Move the front seat all the way back and secure it to the front seat frame with the fastening screws -2- .
- Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)±5 Nm (±3.5 ftlb.)







7. Fit the front covers onto the seat rail. Make sure that the cover is also fitted in the guide.







8. Move the front seat all the way forward and secure it to the seat frame with the fastening screws -1- .
- Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)±5 Nm (±3.5 ftlb.)







9. Fit the rear covers onto the seat rail. Make sure that the cover is also fitted in the guide.

Subsequent work
Install seat belt mount.
