Preliminary work for transmission oil

Remove underbody panelling. -> 519219 Removing and installing cover for front underbody - section on "Removing" 519219 Removing and installing Cover For Front Underbody

Checking transmission oil

Information

- Secure vehicle to prevent it rolling away.

- To check transmission oil the vehicle must be horizontal.

WARNING

Hot fluid

- Danger of scalding

-> Let the fluid cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.

1. Unscrew oil inspection plug -1-.

2. The oil level is correct if the oil reaches the lower edge of the inspection window. If this is not the case, top up transmission oil. -> 340135 Checking and topping up transmission oil - section on "Topping up"
3. Screw in a new oil inspection plug -1-. => Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ftlb.)

Information

1. Unscrew oil inspection plug -1-.





Oil inspection plug and oil filler screw

Information

Use only oil approved by Porsche.

2. Fill with oil up to the bottom edge of the oil inspection plug.
3. Screw in a new oil inspection plug -1-. => Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ftlb.)
