Fuel Level Sensor (MAPPS)
Fuel Level Magnetic Passive Position Sensor (MAPPS)
There are 3 new MAPPS fuel level sensors installed in the fuel tank for measurement of the fuel level.
Advantages of the new fuel-level sensors:
- Longer service life (low-wear)
- Perfect protection against soiling
- Resistant to all gasoline and diesel fuels
- Low contact current (less than 20 mA)
- Redundant contacts
- Resistant to magnetic interference fields
Signal
The electrical output signal is varied proportionally depending on the magnet position. Thanks to the magnetic coupling principle, it was possible to hermetically seal the measuring system. As a result, there is no risk of soiling of the micro-contacts even under extreme ambient conditions.
Electrical Circuit
- 52 film resistors
- Series connection with single taps
- 52 spring contact tabs
- Measuring system hermetically sealed
