Rear Axle
Rear Axle
Rear Axle With Steel Springs
- Aluminum multi-link rear axle LSA. Makes a vital contribution to exemplary driving stability, particularly when accelerating and braking as well as changing lanes sharply and for load changes in corners.
- Separate spring/shock absorber arrangement. Springs and shock absorbers mounted separately, thereby increasing the luggage compartment volume and maximising the load width.
- Hydraulically damped chassis subframe mount. Greater comfort.
- Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) Shock absorber system for active and continuous damper control on front and rear axle. It regulates the damping force for each individual wheel, depending on driving style and driving conditions.
- Supporting mount with optimized damping characteristics. This allows exact control of chassis elements as well as increased driving comfort.
- Tube-type anti-roll bar with a diameter of 17.2 x 2.5 mm for the Panamera S and 17.8 x 2.6 mm for the Panamera 4S.
Rear Axle With Air Suspension
- Aluminum multi-link rear axle LSA. Makes a vital contribution to exemplary driving stability, particularly when accelerating and braking as well as changing lanes sharply and for load changes in corners.
- Separate spring/shock absorber arrangement. Air springs and shock absorbers mounted separately, thereby increasing the luggage compartment volume and maximizing the load width.
- Hydraulically damped chassis subframe mount. Increased comfort.
- Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) Shock absorber system for active and continuous damper control on front and rear axle with level control.
- Spring-strut mount with optimized damping characteristics. This allows exact control of chassis elements as well as increased driving comfort.
- Tube-type anti-roll bar with a diameter of 17.2 x 2.5 mm for the Panamera S, 17.2 x 2.5 mm for the Panamera 4S and 18.5 x 2.5 mm for the Panamera Turbo.
Rear axle - V6
The rear axle is also designed as a multi-link rear axle. This design makes a vital contribution to exemplary driving stability, particularly when accelerating and braking as well as changing lanes sharply and for load changes in corners. The chassis subframe and the lower wishbone are made of aluminum in order to reduce weight. With the separate spring/shock absorber arrangement, the springs and shock absorbers are installed separately, thereby increasing the luggage compartment volume and maximizing the load width.
