Preliminary work for Porsche Double Clutch (PDK)

1. Remove engine.

1. Remove catalytic converter on the left and right.
2. Detach cable for oxygen sensor from the brackets.
3. Detach line for secondary air at the connection point and set it aside.

4. Place collection pan underneath.
5. Remove ATF line on the transmission. To do this, unscrew fastening screws -4- at the transmission and close off openings using a suitable plug.

6. Unscrew fastening screws -4- for ATF line holder on the engine.

7. Secure engine with support P6 -1- on Master Gear unit elevating platform WE 1206 to prevent it from tipping.

8. Together with four-wheel drive:

* Impact puller 9799 must be fitted -1- at the groove in the connecting shaft using 4 screws.
* Use impact puller 9799 to remove connecting shaft from four-wheel final drive -arrow-.

9. Attach transmission with workshop crane and suspending device 3033 ( -arrows- ).

10. Unscrew fastening screws -1- securing transmission to engine and remove transmission.

11. Place piece of wood under the transmission bell housing and place transmission onto transmission mount and piece of wood.

Mounting Porsche Double Clutch (PDK)

1. Coat shaft toothing on the Porsche Double Clutch with Longtime 3EP.

2. Attach transmission with workshop crane and suspending device 3033.

3. Refit transmission on engine and screw in new fastening screws -1-. -> Initial tightening: 38 Nm (28 ftlb.) -> Final tightening: 90 degrees

4. Install catalytic converter on the left and right.
5. Together with four-wheel drive:

* Replace circlip at input flange of four-wheel final drive.
* Thinly coat input flange -arrow- of four-wheel final drive with Anti Seize.
* Impact puller 9799 must be fitted at the groove in the connecting shaft using 4 screws.
* Attach connecting shaft on four-wheel final drive and fit using impact puller 9799 ( -arrow- ) until ring -1- on transmission is visible.
* Impact puller 9799 is then removed from the connecting shaft.

1. Install engine.
