Preliminary work

1. Move hood to service position. -> 6101IN IN -Hood service position
2. Remove hood lock. -> 611919 Removing and installing hood lock - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

1. Unscrew fastening screws at the left and right -arrow-.

2. Pull off sewn-on clamping rail at the front of the roof frame (1) at the left and right -arrows-.

3. Pull off sewn-on clamping rail at the back of the roof frame (1) at the left and right -arrows-.

4. Remove expanding clip -1- from the covering strip -2- and roof frame (1) at the rear -arrow-.

5. Open the Velcro fastener -1- at the left and right between the hood inner lining at the side -2- and the corner bow -3- ( -arrow- ).

6. Open the Velcro fastener on the headliner at the left and right on the corner bow -arrow-.

7. Unscrew fastening screw -4- at the left and right from the bracing straps -1 to 3- ( -arrows- ).
The wire harness for the hood -5- is also secured on the left side.

8. Unscrew fastening screws -1- at the left and right from the hood inner-lining joint -2- ( -arrow- ).

9. Disconnect the hood inner lining at the front -1- by opening the zip -2- in -direction of arrow- and detach it from the hood covering -3-.
Release the zip using a paper clip -4-.

10. Unscrew fastening screw -1- at the left and right from the bracing strap -2- and from the hood inner lining at the rear -3- ( -arrow- ).

11. Use a plastic spatula to press the joint strip -1- on the hood inner lining out of the rear groove on the corner bow -arrows A-.

12. Slide the hood inner-lining joint -2- out of the front groove on the main folding top bow in -direction of arrow B-.

1. Detach the hood inner lining at the rear -3- by opening the zip -2- on the hood covering -1- in -direction of arrow-.
Release the zip using a paper clip -4-.

2. Release snap fastener and hook at the left and right -arrows-.

3. Bend the brace -1- at the left and right and remove by pulling to the front out of the tension bow -arrows-.

4. Remove brace -1- from the textile case on the hood inner lining -2-.
5. Open the Velcro fastener at the left and right on the tension bow -arrow-.

6. Press joint out of the groove on the tension bow -arrow-.

7. Insert a plastic wedge under the metal clips -1- ( -arrow A- ) and raise them slightly -arrow B-.

8. Carefully pull joint out of the groove on the rear window -arrows-.

Removing hood inner lining at sides

1. Drill out rivets -1-.

2. Remove hood inner lining at the sides -2- and plastic insert -3-.

1. Position the hood inner lining at the sides -1- and the plastic insert -2- on the main folding top bow.

2. Rivet blind rivets -3- at the holes provided on the main folding top bow.

1. Secure hood inner-lining joint to the rear window.

1.1. Raise the metal clips using a plastic spatula -arrow A- and insert a small screwdriver under the metal clips -arrow B-.
1.2. Fit the joint seal -1- for the hood inner lining under the metal clips -arrow C-.
Check that the clearance cuts of the hood inner lining -D- are positioned at the electric connection for the rear window.
1.3. Tap in the metal clips using a plastic hammer. Make sure that the metal clips engage in the frame cut-outs.
2. Press the hood inner-lining joint into the groove on the tension bow -arrows-.

3. Fit brace -1- at the left and right into the textile case on the hood inner lining -2-. First, insert the brace into the tension bow at the rear -arrow A- , then bend it through -arrow B- and guide it forward -arrow C-.

Only if the hood covering was replaced.

4. Pull hood covering bracing strap -3- through the cut-out in the hood inner lining and use the fastening screw -2- to secure to the corner bow -1-.

5. Close the Velcro fastener at the left and right on the tension bow -arrow-.

6. Press on snap fastener at the left and right -arrow-.

7. Close the zip -2- between the hood inner lining at the rear -3- and the joint in the hood covering -1- in -direction of arrow-.
Lock the zip using a paper clip -4-.

Installing hood inner lining at front

1. Pull hood inner-lining joint -1- into the front groove on the corner bow -arrow A- and centre it.

2. Fit joint strip -2- into the rear groove -arrows B-.
3. Position the bracing strap -2- at the left and right under the hood inner lining -3- and secure to the main folding top bow with the fastening screw -1- ( -arrow- ).

4. Pull bracing strap -1- at the left and right into the plastic joint on the hood inner lining -2-.

5. Press Velcro fastener at the left and right of the hood inner lining onto the corner bow -arrow-.

6. Position hood covering bracing strap -1- at the left and right under the tension strap bracing strap -2- and the hood inner lining bracing strap -3-. Follow the sequence shown.

7. Screw fastening screw -4- and bracing straps to the main folding top bow -arrow-.
The wire harness for the hood -5- is also secured on the left side.

8. Position hood inner lining bracing strap on the side -2- at the left and right above the tension strap bracing strap -1-. Follow the sequence shown.

9. Screw fastening screw -3- and bracing straps to the main folding top bow.
The wire harness for the hood -4- is also secured on the left side.
10. Close the zip -2- between the hood inner lining at the front -1- and the joint in the hood covering -3- in -direction of arrow-.
Lock the zip using a paper clip -4-.

11. Secure hood inner-lining joint -2- at the left and right with fastening screws -1- ( -arrow- ).

12. Close the Velcro fastener -1- at the left and right between the hood inner lining at the side -2- and the corner bow -3- ( -arrow- ).

13. Position covering strip -2- on the roof frame (2) and press in expanding clip -1- ( -arrow- ).

14. Fit sewn-on clamping rail at the back of the roof frame (1) at the left and right -arrows-.

15. Fit sewn-on clamping rail at the front of the roof frame (1) at the left and right -arrows-.

16. Secure hood inner-lining joint with the fastening screws at the left and right -arrow-.

2. End hood service position.
