WM 701949 Eliminating noise symptoms - Reworking trim panel under dashboard
General information
Symptoms
Creaking noises from around the trim panel under the dashboard.
Causes and remedial action
Creaking noises can be caused by relative movements between the centering journals of the trim panel under the dashboard and the dashboard.
In the event of a complaint, grommets must be fitted on the centering journals to remedy the situation on vehicles manufactured before the date of introduction September 2005. The footwell light and diagnostic connector must also be checked to ensure that they are seated securely.
