Overview, front bumper

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove bumper -2-.

1. Remove insert -1- by pulling it forward off the front bumper -2-.

Removing clamping pieces

1. Unscrew fastening screws -2- and slide the clamping pieces (USA version) -1a- or (Canada version) -1b- down sideways off the front bumper -3-.

Installing clamping pieces

1. Slide clamping pieces (USA version) -1a- or (Canada version) -1b- sideways onto the front bumper -3-.

2. Adjust clamping pieces (USA version) -1a-.
2.1. Find the middle of the front bumper -3-.
2.2. Position clamping pieces (USA version) -1a- with the gap dimensions -A-. => Gap dimension: 160 mm+1 mm
3. Adjust clamping pieces (Canada version) -1b-.
3.1. Position clamping pieces (Canada version) -1b- flush with the outer edge of the front bumper -3-.
4. Secure clamping pieces (USA version) -1a- or (Canada version) -1b- with the fastening screws -2- on the front bumper -3-. => Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

Installing insert

1. Press insert -1- onto the front bumper -2-.

1. Position bumper -2-.

2. Screw in fastening screws -1- and tighten to the specified tightening torque. Tightening torque => : 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

Install front apron. -> 631519 Removing and installing front apron - section on "Installing"
