Preliminary work

Remove rear backrest. -> 724719 Removing and installing rear backrest - section on "Removing" 724719 Removing and installing rear backrest

Removing locking mechanism for rear backrest

1. Press out control button -1- with a screwdriver.





Removing control button

2. Unscrew fastening screws -2- and remove collar -3-.
3. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove cover for lock -2-.





Removing cover for lock

4. Remove protection washer -1- ( -arrow A- ).





Loosening cover

5. Press out cover for backrest -2- at the sides with a screwdriver -arrows B-.
6. Fold padding -1- inwards -arrow A-.





Removing lock

7. Press reset spring -2- together -arrows B- and remove upwards.
8. Unclip cover -3-.
9. Unscrew fastening screws -4- and remove lock for backrest -5- by pulling it upwards -arrow C-.

Installing locking mechanism for rear backrest

1. Position lock for backrest -5- on the backrest frame -arrow A- and screw in the fastening screws -4-. Tightening torque => Tightening torque: 12 Nm (9 ftlb.)+/-2 Nm (+/-1.5)





Installing lock

2. Clip in cover -3-.
3. Press in reset spring -2- until it engages -arrows B- and check lever function.
4. Press connection for backrest cover -2- sideways into the backrest frame with a plastic wedge -arrows A-.





Securing cover

5. Press in protection washer -1- ( -arrow A- ).
6. Position cover for lock -2- and screw in the fastening screws -1-.





Installing cover for lock

7. Place collar -3- in position and screw in the fastening screws -1-.





Installing control button

8. Press in control button -2-.

Subsequent work

Install rear backrest. -> 724719 Removing and installing rear backrest - section on "Installing" 724719 Removing and installing rear backrest
