Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

Preliminary work

1. Remove pressure pipe.

1. Loosen screw-type clamps -1- on the intake air lines.

2. Pull the air cleaner housing up fully and guide it out of the engine compartment.
2.1. Be careful with the rubber mountings (these can fall into the belt drive).

Installing air cleaner housing

1. Grease rubber mountings lightly (with Vaseline) and fit them on the rear support.
2. Guide the air cleaner housing into the engine compartment and press it into the rubber mountings.

3. Slide intake air lines onto the supports on the air cleaner housing and tighten screw-type clamps.
Make sure that the screw heads on the screw-type clamps are seated in the cut-outs for the intake air lines -arrow-.
=> Tightening torque: 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. Install pressure pipe.
