Removing A-pillar trim
Information
- To reduce the unclipping forces and thereby the risk of damage during removal, the removal steps must be carried out at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.
NOTICE
Caution
- Risk of damage to electric wires and head airbag.
-> When unclipping the trim panel using a tool, make sure not to damage the electric wires lying behind it and the head airbag.
1. Carefully pull out trim for upper A-pillar at the door aperture -arrow-.

2. Turn lock -1- through 90° using pointed-nose pliers and pull off trim -2-.

3. Detach A-pillar trim out of locks -arrow-.

4. Pull off A-pillar trim in an upward direction -arrow-.
Removing A-pillar trim
Information
The upper clip -1- of the A-pillar trim must not be reused.
It must always be replaced, even if there is no visible damage.

5. Release upper lock -1- using a screwdriver -A- and pull it off -B-.

Installing A-pillar trim
Information
The upper clip -1- of the A-pillar trim must not be reused.
It must always be replaced, even if there is no visible damage.

Information
- Check that all the fastening clips are positioned fully and correctly.
- Check that all the fastening clips are not bent or broken.
- Replace damaged or missing clips with new ones.
The A-pillar trim is installed in reverse order to installation.
