Customer request:
De-activate "Acoustic feedback while locking" function.

The "Acoustic feedback while locking" function is activated as standard during vehicle delivery for vehicles in USA, Canada and Mexico.

This function is not activated on vehicles for other countries.

Action Required:

From now on, this function can be deactivated- .... or re-activated as required - at the request of the customer using PIWIS Tester II with software version 7.200 (or higher) installed.

software version 7.200 is available online from December 16, 2010.

PIWIS Tester II 9818 with software version 7.200 (or higher)

Work Procedure:

Applies only to vehicles in USA, Canada and Mexico: De-activate "Acoustic feedback while locking" function.

Initial situation: Battery charger and PIWIS Tester II are connected to the vehicle.

1 Select => 'Front-end electronics' control unit => 'Codings/adaptations' => 'Customer-specific settings' => 'Acoustic feedback while locking (Only permitted for North America)'.

2 Select => No
The message "Acoustic feedback is deactivated" will be displayed when coding is complete. End of action required.

If you want to activate the function again, select "Yes". The message "Acoustic feedback is activated" will be displayed when coding is complete.
