Removing tail light

NOTICE

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

-> Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

1. Open rear lid.

2. Remove tail light.
2.1. Slide tail light cover in direction of travel and use a plastic spatula to lever it off the tail light.
2.2. Loosen the two fastening screws -1-.

3. Remove the tail light.
3.1. Swivel the tail light a few centimetres out of the vehicle -2- and pull it out towards the rear using jerking movements -3-.
3.2. Take electric line out of the mounting -4-.
3.3. Release electric connector -a- and remove tail light.

Installing tail light

1. Install tail light.
1.1. Push electric connector onto the tail light until it clicks into place.
1.2. Insert electric line into the tail light mounting -arrow-.

Information

- Check condition of clip nut and replace it if necessary.

1.3. Press tail light with the ball joint into the clip nut -5- and position it on the body.

2. Tighten the two fastening screws -1- and clip the cover into the tail light.

3. Carry out a function test on the tail light.
