Removing front pressure sensor

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

Information

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

- Assembly work must only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche.

- The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed.

- Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts.

NOTICE

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit

-> Remove remote control and switch off ignition before disconnecting or removing electrical load.

1. Release electric plug connection from the front pressure sensor -1- ( -a- ) and pull it off -A-.

2. Turn front door sub-frame 180°.
3. Screw off fastening nut -2- on front pressure sensor.

4. Unclip front pressure sensor -a- and remove it -B-.

Installing front pressure sensor

1. Position front pressure sensor on the door sub-frame.
2. Clip in front pressure sensor.

3. Tighten fastening nut -2- on pressure sensor to => Tightening torque: 2.5 Nm (2 ftlb.)
4. Turn door sub-frame 180°.
5. Plug electric plug connection into the front pressure sensor -1- ( -A- ) and lock it -a-.

Subsequent work

1. Install front door sub-frame. -> 573019 Removing and installing front door sub-frame - section on "Installing" 573019 Removing and Installing Front Door Unit Carrier
