Information

Open front door window => Adjustment value: 160 mm+/-2 mm from the top edge of the vehicle door.





Opening door window

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Pull off front window guide close to the B-pillar. -> 644519 Front window guide - section on "Removing" 644519 Removing and installing front window guide
2. Remove two stoppers -3- from the door sub-frame.

3. Move the door window down until the screws on the mounting pieces for the window lifter are visible through the openings.

Information

Make sure to loosen the fastening screws for the mounting pieces to the right from this side.

4. Loosen fastening screws -4- on the mounting pieces.

5. Remove door window glass by pulling it upwards.

Installing front door window

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Fit door window glass into the guide.

2. Fit door window glass as far as it will go into the mounting pieces for the window lifter without forcing it.
3. Check that the window glass is parallel to the window guide close to the B-pillar.
4. Tighten fastening screws for mounting pieces to => Tightening torque: 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.).

5. Fit two stoppers -3- in the door sub-frame.

Subsequent work

1. Install front B-pillar cover. -> 669419 Removing and installing B-pillar covers - section on "Installing" 66941901 Removing and installing front B-pillar cover
2. Install front door panel. -> 705919 Removing and installing front door panel - section on "Installing" 705919 Removing and installing front door panel
