Preliminary work

Removal

Removing control box for exhaust flap

CAUTION

Hot components

- Risk of burns

-> Let hot components cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.

1. Pull off the vacuum hose -3-.
2. Remove cotter pin -1-.
3. Remove two hexagon nuts -2-.
4. Pull push rod off the exhaust flap pin and remove the control box -4-.

Installation

Installing control box for exhaust flap

1. Guide the control box -4- onto the exhaust flap holder and fit push rod onto the exhaust flap pin.
2. Secure the control box -4- with two hexagon nuts -2-.





3. Secure push rod with a cotter pin -1-.
4. Connect vacuum hose -3-.

Subsequent work

1. Install cover for rear underbody. -> 519419 Removing and installing cover for rear underbody 519419 Removing and Installing Cover for Rear Underbody
