Diagnostic conditions
- Power supply voltage 10 V... 16 V
- Engine running

Possible fault causes
- Short circuit to B+/ground or open circuit in the sensor line
- Open circuit in ground supply to coolant temperature sensor
- Coolant temperature sensor faulty
- DME control module faulty
