Preliminary work

1. Remove rear apron. -> 635519 Removing and installing rear apron - section on "Removing" .
2. Detach wire harness for removable trailer hitch in the outer area. -> 972419 Removing and installing wire harness for removable trailer hitch - section on "Removing"

Removing trailer hitch

Information

- A helper is needed for removing and installing the trailer hitch because of the weight.

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- for trailer hitch.

2. Take off trailer hitch.

Installing trailer hitch

Information

- A helper is needed for removing and installing the trailer hitch because of the weight.

1. Position trailer hitch and fix in place using the fastening screws.
2. Tighten fastening screws to => Tightening torque: 120 Nm (89 ftlb.).

Subsequent work

1. Install wire harness for removable trailer hitch.-> 972419 Removing and installing wire harness for removable trailer hitch - section on "Installing"
2. Install rear apron. -> 635519 Removing and installing rear apron - section on "Installing"
