INFORMATION
The paint codes and intermix formulas from the major manufacturers for the special Alliance Motor Trend (MT) models are outlined in this I.S. Note. The availability of enamel or lacquer paint is indicated. The paint codes and intermix formulas plus refinishing information for the special color MT model road wheels are also included.

MT Model Wheel Refinishing Information
If the aluminum substrate is exposed when refinishing the wheels on MT models, the following preparation steps are necessary to ensure paint adhesion.
1. Apply Alumiprep 33 (DX-533) to the exposed aluminum.
2. Apply Alodine 1001 (DX-501) to the exposed aluminum.
NOTE: Apply this product to areas that will be color coated as well as just clear coated.
3. Apply Ditzler DP-40/401 Epoxy Chromate primer to areas that will be color coated.
4. Apply the color coat.
5. Clear coat the wheel with Ditzler DAU75 urethane clear.
NOTE: Coat the entire wheel including the outer edge.
