WINDSHIELD WEATHERSTRIP Attention: Workshop, Parts Department


INFORMATION The windshield weatherstrip on some 1368 models built prior to fabrication number 12008 and 136A models built prior to fabrication number 7794 may become rippled at the lower corners causing an appearance problem. This condition can be remedied using 3M CA-40 adhesive, part number 89 83 100 007, as outlined in the following procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. Pull the windshield weatherstrip outward and slightly upward around the rippled area.

2. Wipe the windshield glass and the underside of the weatherstrip clean with a dry cloth.

3. Apply 3M CA-40 adhesive, part number 89 83 100 007 to the underside of the weatherstrip in the rippled area. Then smooth and press weatherstrip against the glass until bonded.

4. Wipe all adhesive from the repair area.
