NEW TURN SIGNAL FLASHER Information
A new type, 4-terminal flasher (P/N 7701 621 732) is now the only flasher available for service replacement use on Le Car vehicles. The 3-terminal flasher previously used has been discontinued.
When installing the new type flasher, the center, negative (-) terminal must be grounded so that the flasher is compatible with the existing turn signal circuit. The grounding procedure is outlined below.
Procedure
1. Fabricate a ground wire for the flasher negative (-) terminal as follows.
a. Attach male terminal connector 925 062, or equivalent, to one end of a 12-inch length of number 14 or 16 gauge wire.
b. Insert the terminal connector into the center terminal in the flasher wire harness connector (refer to the illustration).
2. Connect the flasher wire harness connector to the flasher and install the flasher.
3. Attach the other end of the flasher ground wire to a convenient vehicle ground with an appropriate size eyelet connector. Shorten or reroute the ground wire as necessary to avoid interference and to maintain a neat appearance.
4. Verify that the flasher operates normally.
