REAR CASE REMOVAL (MB-MJ)

Note:

The removal and disassembly of the rear case should be performed on a bench with a clean, padded rubber or plastic work surface.

DISASSEMBLY



DIFFERENTIAL REMOVAL (MB)

Place a block of wood under the gear that is part of (15).

Using an arbor press, apply a press force to the differential case to release snap ring (25).

Remove the differential case by applying a press force against the planetary gear.

Remove (24).



DIFFERENTIAL COMPONENTS DISASSEMBLY (MB)

Remove (23).

Mount case (15) in a vise equipped with protective jaws.

Remove components (22) to (16).

Tie washers (17) to their respective side gears.
