NEW HATCH SUPPORT



Information

A new hatch support with different internal valving has been introduced into production of Encore models.

The new support is mounted with the piston rod facing upward as opposed to the old support which had the rod facing downward with lift gate open. (see illustration).

The new support will be the only one supplied for service replacement. Part numbers for the new support are, 7700 758 712 without spoiler and 7700 758 714 with spoiler.
NOTE: When a new type hatch support is used to replace an older type (piston rod downward), the remaining older type support must not be reversed (piston rod upward) for the sake of appearance.
