FRONT BRAKE NOISE
Information
Some models may develop a clunk-like noise that occurs during light brake pedal application, or when driving over rough roads at low speed.
Perform the following procedure to eliminate the noise.
Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle with front wheels free to rotate.
2. With a beam torque wrench, measure the tightness of the caliper bracket mounting bolts on both sides. The torque readings must be observed bolts are being tightened.
3. Remove any bolts with a torque of 90 N-m (66 ft.lbs.) or less and replace with a new bolt 8934 201 911. Tighten new bolts to 100 N-m (74 ft.lbs.) torque. Remove supports and lower vehicle.
