This I.S. Note contains body, wheel, accent, and C/J hardtop paint colors, as well as the color codes and application information for 1985 AMC/Jeep/Renault models including:

PAINT CODE LOCATIONS

Alliance/Encore - The upper color code is in position 14 and the lower color is in position 19 on the vehicle code plate attached to the driver's side strut tower.

Cheroke/Wagoneer 70 Series - The color code is on the lower left corner of the vehicle code plate located on the driver's side of the radiator support (the code is 2 digits for a single color - 4 digits for two tone).

CJ/Scrambler/Grand Wagoneer/Truck - The color code is on the vehicle identification plate mounted on the engine compartment dash panel.
Eagle - The color code is on the body identification plate located on the driver's door.

Renault Fuego/Sportwagon - The color code is on the sticker attached to the driver's side strut tower.

Renault Le Car (Canada only) - The color code is ink-stamped on the driver's side inner fender panel near the headlamp.
