Subject: California Emissions Recall # 461 -- Catalytic Converter

Models: 1986 Model Year Renault Alliance and Encore Equipped With 1.4L Engine and California Emission System


The listed model vehicles may be in violation of California Emissions Standards as a result of catalyst deterioration. To correct the condition, an improved (blanketless) catalytic converter must be installed to replace the original.

Cars identified through our warranty records which have already been repaired by installing a blanketless catalytic converter have been excluded from the recall population.
