WARRANTY IDENTIFICATION CARD

A two-piece metal identification plate is attached to the passenger side shock tower of 1986 Alliance/ Encore models.

The oval plate (A) is the vehicle fabrication plate. It is riveted in place and is a permanent part of the vehicle.

The rectangular plate (B) is the warranty identification plate. This plate is to be removed (snapped off) and attached to the warranty identification card (C).

The warranty identification card (C) must be used to imprint warranty claims on all 1986 Alliance/ Encore models. This will improve vehicle claim records and claim processing time.
1986 Alliance/Encore models built after February 1986, will have warranty identification cards in the glovebox kit. A supply of identification cards for prior build 1986 Alliance/Encore models will be sent to each dealer. The warranty VIN plate must be affixed to these cards as each 1986 model comes in for service.

Refer to Warranty Bulletin 86-06 for information related to lost cards, plates, or other problems related to the identification cards.
