Shift Linkage: Service and Repair

1. Place gear selector lever in Neutral, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove circlip from computer control arm.
3. Remove protective cover and control rod bracket bolt, then disconnect control arm.
4. Lower vehicle and remove selector lever grille by sliding it out.
5. Remove selector lever housing.
6. Ensure that computer is set to Neutral position.
7. Mount boot and selector lever housing on shift control rod, then install control lever.
8. Insert control rod into bearing at control end, then connect control rod at transaxle end.
9. Reconnect arm to computer and torque retaining bolt to 13 ft.lbs., ensuring computer remains in Neutral.
10. Install protective cover and secure with circlip.
