The thermovalve (PVS valve), Fig. 68, is controlled by the engine coolant temperature and shuts off the vacuum signal to the EGR valve when the engine coolant temperature is below approximately 68°F (20°C). The thermovalve is located in the intake manifold towards the cylinder head.
