New External Gear-Change Mechanism For 4/ 5-Speed Gearboxes





On the new external gear-change mechanism, the design of the gear lever housing, gear lever, selector rod and selector rod universal joint has been altered. Adjustment is carried out by means of a clamp which replaces the rear taper dowel in the selector rod universal joint. The modification results in easier gear-changing and simplified adjustment of the play. The design of the guide bracket, selector rod and bottom part of the gear lever housing for the 4-speed and 5-speed gearboxes are different.
