SUBJECT: CORRECTING COMPLAINTS OF NOISE WHEN ISSUE: 01/85-738 ENGAGING CLUTCH, NATURALLY-ASPIRATED 900'S WITH 5-SPEED, M80-EARLY M85



Beginning with VIN Serial Nos. F1002349 and F2001197, a new clutch disc was introduced on naturally-aspirated 900's with 5-speed transmissions. This new disc (P/N 87-22-324) eliminates the noise (shriek) which is sometimes heard just before the clutch is fully engaged.

Earlier naturally-aspirated (non-Turbo) cars with manual transmissions (M80-early M85) may be fitted with this new disc to correct complaints of noise.
