APPLICATION: 1987 900S EQUIPPED WITH PASSIVE SEAT BELTS


The 1987 900S equipped with passive seat belts has a new seat, seat mounts and floor carpeting. The new carpeting requires that the Mat-Loc straps for the accessory plush mats be installed in a slightly different manner than before.



To install these straps properly, the technician must cut (2) two strips out of the front edge of the rear carpet. The cutout must measure approximately 1/2" wide and 1-1/2" long. This allows the carpet covering the beam to sit back where it was and the straps of the Mat-Loc to be wrapped around the seat beam (see drawing below). Do not cut any wires that may be under the carpet.
