Campaign - Fog Lamp Wiring Modification
86saab03FILE IN S.I. Man VOL. I
SEC. A-3 PG. 100
Service Information
SUBJECT: MODIFICATION OF WIRE HARNESS FOR ISSUE: 11/86-905 INSTALLING FOG LIGHTS
APPLICATION: EARLY 1987 900 MODELS
The wiring specification of early 1987 900 models allows the fog lights to be switched on without the headlights or parking lights being switched on. Fog lights should only operate in conjunction with the parking lights or headlight low beams. A change has since been made in production so that the fog lights only operate that way.
Early cars (built before the serial no. limits) must be corrected before Saab Fog Lights are installed. See the directions below for making this modification. Cars built after the following VIN Serial Numbers need no modification.
-H2004659 -H3003382 -H7006112
NOTE: Service Campaign 517 will be conducted to notify owners of early 1987 900's with fog lights fitted as standard equipment, i.e. Turbo models with leather interiors.

Connect the end with the terminal attached into the socket for the fog light switch (position no. 7).
4. Plug in all switch connections, refit the switches and replace dash screws.
