Fuel Injector: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove bellows from air flow sensor.
2. Remove injection valve from inlet manifold. With fuel lines connected place injectors in a suitable container.
3. Remove injection relay and connect a jumper wire between relay holder terminals 30 and 87 to activate fuel pump.
4. Lift lever in air flow sensor and check spray pattern of each injector. Clean or replace if faulty.
5. To check valve tightness, switch off ignition to get a rest pressure and wipe injection nozzles dry. Lift lever in sensor and check for leakage. It should not take less than 15 seconds for a drop to start.
