Saab has developed a new, microprocessor-based testing unit to assist servicing and fault diagnosis of the LH fuel injection system. It has been designed to compliment existing on-car LH fuel system fault tracing procedures. The tester is compatible with both LH version 2.2 and 2.4 fuel injection systems.
This tester has been designated as a required special tool. One was automatically shipped to your dealership in late February.
The tester allows the operator to check the fuel delivery system, including fuel pump pressure and flow and injector flow rates. It also checks the LH system wiring harness, LH components and component adjustments. The car can also be driven with the tester installed to check for intermittent faults.

Video Program
The original S.I. was issued with an information video, "LH Injection System Tester." This video is designed to supplement the instruction manual and provide technicians with an overview of the capability, functions and safe operation of the LH tester.
The initial video was provided at no charge. Additonal videos are available at a cost of $30. Contact the Product Information Department in Orange, CT, in writing, to obtain an additional copy.
The LH tester video has been designated as a "Library Video." It should be retained at the dealership and reused for the training of future employees and for refresher training.
