Application: 900 Models with Passive Seat Belt System, 1987-89


A tester is available to assist in fault diagnosis and operational checks of the passive seat belt system on Saab 900 models. The tester connects to the electronic control unit (ECU) harness connector for the passive seat belt system. The tester has light emitting diodes and switches that allow the technician to:


^ Fault trace the system circuits.

^ Check the operation of the belt transport mechanism

^ Check the operation of the seat belt warning lamp.

^ Check the operation of the microswitches in the belt reels.

^ Check the operation of the door switches.


Detailed instructions on tester operation are not included with the tester and should be ordered separately at the same time as the tester.
