Up To & Including Serial Nos. 001-1700 & 002-2800
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove engine and transmission support member, then drain transmission fluid.
3. Remove front cover attaching bolts and the front cover.
4. Remove oil pipes 13 and 14 for front servo band from drain valve, Fig. 4.
5. Remove level pipes. Note position of O-ring for installation reference.
6. Remove oil strainer and magnet.
7. Remove oil pipes 5 through 12, then disconnect throttle cable.
8. Remove four valve body attaching bolts, then the valve body and accumulator as an assembly. Use care to avoid damaging oil pressure and lubrication pipes running between valve body and oil pump.
9. Reverse procedure to install. If 2-3 drain valve was removed, install it together with pipes 15 and 16 before mounting the valve body.

As From Serial Nos. 001-1701 & 002-2801
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove engine and transmission support member, then drain transmission fluid.
3. Remove front cover attaching bolts and the front cover.
4. Remove overflow pipes, oil pump strainer, magnet and pipes 13, 14 and 15, Fig. 5.
5. Remove pipe support 18, then pipes 5 through 12.
6. Disconnect throttle cable.
7. Remove two valve body attaching bolts and the valve body. Use care to avoid damaging oil pressure and lubrication pipes running between valve body and oil pump.
8. Reverse procedure to install. If 2-3 drain valve was removed, install it together with pipes 16 and 17 before mounting the valve body.
