Differential Bearing Race

NOTE: Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.





Removal
1. Remove the four screws of the seal holder.
- Lift out the screws and the seal holder and remove the O-ring.
2. Carefully tap out the bearing race with a hammer and a drift (destructive dismantling).

CAUTION: Tap equally on both sides





Installation
1. Press in the new bearing race until it reaches the bottom using tools sleeve tube tool No. 87 92 202 and sleeve adapter tool No. 87 91 204, or equivalents.





2. Install the seal holder with its O-ring.
- Tighten the screws alternately.
- Tightening torque: 20-28 Nm (15-21 ft. lbs.).
