Malfunction indicated
No detection of N/P positions after starting

Fault symptom
Cruise Control not working

Test procedure

1 With a BOB plugged into the ASR control unit, all components connected and the ignition switch in the Drive position, check the voltage on socket 16 with the selector lever in the R, D, 3, 2, 1, N and P positions, see table below.

2 If the voltage is incorrect, switch off the ignition and check the OR lead between pin 16 of the ASR control unit and pin 30 of the LH control unit for continuity or shorting to earth.

3 If the lead and contacts are OK, clear the fault code and drive the car on test. If the fault code is generated afresh, try an ASR control unit that is known to be good.
