Fault Code 4/25722





Malfunction indicated
Brake/clutch pedal switch signal faulty or absent (no clutch pedal switch on TCS automatic)

Fault symptom
Cruise Control not working.

Test procedure

1 Enter SAT command code 205.
With no pressure on the brake/clutch pedals, the display should show 8B005.
With the brake/clutch pedals depressed, the display should show 8B105.

2 With a BOB connected to the ETS control unit, all components connected, and the ignition switch in the Drive position, check the voltage on socket 36 according to the table below.








3 Check the operation of the switches. If necessary, adjust or change faulty switches.

4 Check that battery voltage is present on pin 1 of the brake switch.
If not, other fault codes occur which must be investigated. However, first check fuse #15 and leads for the +30 supply to the brake pedal switch.

5 With the ignition switched off, check the VT lead between pin 2 of the brake pedal switch and pin 36 of the control unit for continuity or shorting.

6 Clear the fault code and drive the car to see whether it is generated afresh. If it is, try fitting an ETS control unit that is known to be OK.
